Dr. Nitin Sonavane is a highly experienced Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Physician based in Mumbai, India. With over 18 years of dedicated practice, he has earned a reputation for excellence in managing & treating various kidney disorders. He took up nephrology Post-MD as he found nephrology very challenging looking at patients suffering and lack of haemodialysis facilities and primary nephrology care in and around Mumbai.

Throughout his career, Dr. Sonavane has demonstrated immense proficiency in treating patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and those requiring haemodialysis. He has a particular focus on preventing the progression of kidney damage, especially in patients with diabetes and hypertension, which are among the leading causes of kidney diseases globally. Dr. Sonavane emphasizes maintaining optimal blood sugar levels to mitigate the risk of kidney and cardiovascular complications in diabetic patients.
